CHRISTMAS PARTY

"BEST EVER": Is the way most described the 2014 Walsh Bay Precinct Christmas Party.  Even the rain could not dampen the enthusiasm nor the sense of community.  

As always the Manage Meant team spared no effort to set up, pack up, and brew the Famous Walsh Bay Beer.  The team then provided amazing friendly service to ensure that everybody was looked after and nobody was left with an empty glass or plate.  A few tweaks in the setup ensured that people could get to the food and bar more easily.  And the food was better than ever.

It is great to see neighbours get together to share in festive spirit, meet new people and even enjoy a dance with their new friends and neighbours.

The Precinct acknowledges the generosity of local restaurants and a number of Contractors and Service Providers that contribute to maintaing the quality we have all become accustomed to:

Charity Christmas Gifts

Walsh Bay Residents: Again generously donated Christmas Gifts to less fortunate children this Christmas.  An amazing amount of gifts were delivered to the Smith Family just in time to brighten up Christmas Day for the Children.
Charity might start at home but it ends with a smile from somebody who needs it.

WHEELCHAIR RACE

ROAD CLOSURE - HICKSON ROAD: On Australia Day the Annual Oz Day 10K Wheelchair Race requires the road to be closed for the safety of the competitors.  The race will include Paralympic and World Champions and these athletes will reach speeds of 60km/h.  They will be zooming right through the Precinct so come down and send your respects.

HICKSON ROAD will be CLOSED for the event
From Napoleon St to Pier One from 7am to midday.
and From Pier One to George St from 7am to 10pm.
Pottinger St Bollards will be open

On March 15th from 1-6pm, Walsh Bay Arts and Commerce will be holding an event as part of the 'Spectrum Now' program.
