PRECINCT CHRISTMAS PARTY

 


THURSDAY 10 DECEMBER 5PM - 11PM: Join the Festivities at the courtyard in front of Pier 6/7.  The Manage Meant team has been busy arranging for a fantastic night with all the activities that everybody has come to love, including the Famous Walsh Bay Beer, Spit Roast, Paella, Seafood and a DJ playing everybody's favourite tunes. Join your friends and neighbours for a dance!
As always we have set ourselves the task of again raising the bar, and we are proud to announce that we have come up with something new to make the night even better than previous years.  So Don't Miss Out !!

Everybody is welcome, including businesses and those who work in the Precinct.  So please help by making sure all your neighbours know about the party, and let anybody you know who works in the Precinct know that they are welcome.

We extend a HUGE THANKS to the following restaurants, local businesses and contractors that are supporting the event by providing food or contributing sponsorship to ensure the party keeps getting better.

WALSH BAY CELLARS have provided champagne and will be there to provide samples of their wine.

NEW YEARS EVE

Walsh Bay Piers Closed: To address safety concerns, access passes will be made available to Walsh Bay Residents and Businesses only.
Passes will be delivered to residents.  
Businesses should contact the Precinct Manager to arrange access passes.
As always ROAD CLOSURES will affect roads in Walsh Bay.
HICKSON ROAD: From George St to Pottinger CLOSED from 2pm to 4am (Managed access available to 6pm)
HICKSON ROAD: From Pottinger St to Napoleon Street CLOSED from 7pm to 4am
TOWNS PLACE from Hickson Rd to Dalgetty Rd CLOSED from 7pm to 4am.
POTTINGER STEET: Bollards will be OPEN from 7pm.  People will be able to exit the Precinct via Pottinger St and Kent Street.
NOTE: there will be NO PARKING on Hickson Road.
A SPECIAL EVENT CLEARWAY is in affect for the whole of Hickson Road from 6am.

New Years Eve: The headland park will host a ticketed event for New Years Eve.

January
26th - AUSTRALIA DAY - Sydney Harbour and the CBD celebrates the nation and all things Australian - Look out for a list of activities in the January Newsletter.
OZ DAY 10K Wheelchair Race - Comes through Walsh Bay along Hickson Road.  An exhilarating experience with wheelchairs reaching speeds of up to 60km/h.  Road closures will be in place to accomodate.
February:
14th - VALENTINES DAY - There is no more romantic location in Sydney for an intimate waterfront meal.  Book early so you are not disappointed.  Your special someone will be impressed.
March
13th - DECKCHAIR ARTS - Hosted by WBAC - Relax in deckchairs on the edge of Sydney Harbour and enjoy a collection of local performing arts and fabulous food.
April:
1st - APRIL FOOLS DAY - be on your guard.
May:
VIVID - Festival of lights - Walsh Bay comes alive with light and sound.  Make the most of this world class event residing at your doorstep.  Dates will be distributed.
SWF - The heart of the Sydney Writers Festival is in Walsh Bay every May.
SMH Half Marathon - How many people get to experience such an iconic Sydney event running past your front door. 
June:
13th - Queens Birthday Holiday - We all love a long weekend.
July:
SH10K - The Sydney Harbour 10K road race - is the fastest road running race staged in Australia. Watch those hoping to qualify for world class events run past your door.
August:
Everybody knows nothing happens in August.
September:
Blackmore Running Festival - This event is broadcast all over the world, and you can see it from your front door.
October 
3rd - Labour Day - Just another Long Weekend - Make the most of it.
November:
Walsh Bay Arts Table - This years beneficiary is The Song Company.  A must attend event.  The best food Walsh Bay can deliver accompanied with matching NSW regional wines.
December
8th - Second Thursday in December - PRECINCT XMAS PARTY - Put this in your diary early, so you don't miss the best party of the year.
