It's official: the tiny inner-city suburb of Dawes Point is the No.1 ranked place to live in Sydney.

This year's Domain Property Guide in The Sun-Herald, which values more than 600 Sydney suburbs, puts Dawes Point in top place because of the exclusive Walsh Bay development.

The Accessible Arts Catalyst Dance Masterclass Series 2013 was held at Bangarra Studio/Theatre at Walsh Bay in August and September.

Facilitated by three of Australia’s leading choreographers, Sue Healey, Dean Walsh and Philip Channells, Masterclasses were tailored to dancers with and without physical or sensory disability, and to dancers with mental illness or acquired brain injury. Each choreographer ran one of the three Masterclasses in a progressive skills development process.

The Review is being held from 3 October to 11 October 2013 to commemorate the centenary of the first entry of the Royal Australian Navy's Fleet into Sydney.

Planned in partnership with the NSW State Government and the City of Sydney, it is anticipated that approximately 40 warships, 17 tall ships, 60 aircraft and 10 bands from Australia and around the world will participate in this historic event.

Millers Point has a proud history as a supportive, socially mixed community, and generations of public housing tenants have called it home.

It's vital that affordable housing in the City be protected and increased. The NSW Government is talking about continuing to sell people's homes in the name of reducing costs.

The area is listed on the NSW State Heritage Register in recognition of both its physical and social heritage. It was the first precinct to be entirely listed on the register.

In 2013 Vivid has expanded to make a feature of the Walsh Bay Precinct. Walsh Bay will have 11 installations stretching from Pier One to Towns Place. There will be installations right around the waterfront connecting the Rocks with the Walsh Bay installations. There will be nowhere better to see the Harbour Bridge installation than from the Piers at Walsh Bay.

People are encouraged to use Public Transport.Unfortunately Transport NSW has discontinued the 433 Bus service, so you will have to make the short walk down from Argyle St or follow the installations from Circular Quay. Vivd has grown into one of the most successful events on Sydney's Calendar.

Lights come on at 6pm each Night.

Myer was quick out of the gates in the autumn racing stakes, showcasing its fashion form at a glamorous Sydney harbourside soiree yesterday.

A little over a week after closing the store's autumn-winter launch in Melbourne, Jennifer Hawkins again donned a daring sass & bide look.

This time she wrapped her enviable legs in a mini-skirted, form-fitting white suit embellished with metal and a dramatic headpiece in what was touted as a "fashion moment".

Wearing black gladiator pumps, the thoroughbred of Australian modelling towered over two ponies as she posed under the Harbour Bridge.

Fellow Miss Universe alumna Laura Dundovic wore a bejewelled net veil by Melbourne milliner Kerrie Stanley with a beaded black hobble dress from Perth label Aurelio Costarella.
