Last month’s Arts Table resulted in a huge $24,000 raised for co-hosts, The Song Company while an exceptional 5 course degustation dinner, served with stunning matched wines and enjoyed with sublime, vocal entertainment was thoroughly enjoyed by all guests in attendance. But despite such success, the event’s immediate future is unclear.
Owing to the redevelopment works at Pier 2/3, the Arts Table may not be able to go ahead in its current format in 2017. The WBAC is awaiting a copy of the schedule of building works to help assist in the planning process, along with confirming the next co-hosts – currently slated to be Sydney Philharmonia Choirs.
But uncertainly didn’t put a dampener on the atmosphere, nor the fine food and wine enjoyed by guests on the night this year! One attendee, Ros Anderson, summarised why the Arts Table is so special:
“We had a fantastic time and enjoyed every minute of it! The Song Company had the most beautiful voices - they were absolutely amazing. What a terrific location to enjoy delicious food, wine and song,” she said.
