Last month’s WBAC networking evening at The Langham Sydney treated members to sumptuous tasters the hotel’s newly launched Bistro Remy with the night being heralded as one of the most successful events yet. 

A maximum capacity crowd enjoyed a sample of Bistro Remy’s exquisite menu put together by renowned, classically French trained executive chef, Dave Whitting - previously behind the acclaimed new menu at the Subiaco Hotel in WA and head chef at Bistro Guillaume in Perth. Delicious nibbles on the night included; grass fed beef tartare encroute, a stunning bruschetta, diced cobia Kingfish, vegetarian quiche and banana brulee.

Bistro Remy’s prices reflect its desire to be a local restaurant for residents and nearby office workers with entrées ranging up to $20.00 and no mains over $40.00.

The Langham’s new GM, Gaylord Lamy, along with WBAC Chair, Brigid Kennedy made brief speeches on the night, as well as took the time to mingle with engaged guests whilst several business members used the opportunity to discuss a range of future collaborations.

“These networking evenings are about much more than just sampling free food and wine, although in the case of Bistro Remy it was a real highlight,” says Brigid Kennedy.

“Time and time again I’ve witnessed conversations by WBAC members at these events that evolve into successful partnerships and joint ventures, not to mention the power of the local arts and business community regularly coming together to share information and ideas.
