Showcasing Chippendale’s creative passion and depth, the first Saturday of each month marks Chippendale Creative Precinct’s (CCP) free, guided tours of exhibition spaces and arts destinations in the local area.
The CCP, headed up by Kensington Street’s creative director, Nicky Ginsberg, is a non-profit organisation that aims to celebrate and develop the lifestyle and culture of Chippendale. The group’s free gallery walking tours are a regular, monthly initiative that aim to help transform the precinct into a thriving cultural destination.
This next tour is scheduled for Saturday November 5 and takes in four exhibitions over two hours, interviewing artists and gallerists including:
The Old Rum Store: ‘Guilty Pleasures – Seven Deadly Sins’ Exhibition
Spot81: Diane Scott, Danica Firulovic, Ross Thornton ‘The Prime Object’
The Commercial: Anna Kristensen ‘Cover’
Kensington Contemporary: Cornelis Timmer ‘All I see is Plastic‘
Commenting on the next tour organisers add that by “exploring light, form and colour across the four exhibitions, guests will begin to unravel the connection between meaning and medium.”
