Walsh Bay Walking Tours App
A new, user-friendly self-guided walking tour app has been developed by Walsh Bay Art and Commerce and our development partner Orama Communications with funding support from the City of Sydney.
Designed to promote the precinct’s many venues, arts organisations and businesses the app identifies historical points of interest and provides information on all things Walsh Bay, through four self-guided tours. These include The Walsh Bay Arts Tour, The Walsh Bay Dining Hub Tour, The Walsh Bay Heritage Tour and the Retail and Services Hub Tour.
Just around the corner from The Rocks and linking Circular Quay with Barangaroo along the panoramic Sydney Harbour Foreshore Walk, Walsh Bay is renowned for its unique integration of heritage character with contemporary architecture. It is currently home to a diverse range of cafes, restaurants and function venues, performance and exhibition spaces, galleries and bespoke retail, creative agencies and five-star hotels. Upon completion of extensive redevelopment or piers 2/3 and 4/5, iconic Australian arts companies including the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Bell Shakespeare, Sydney Theatre Company, Sydney Dance Company, Bangarra and Gondwana Choirs will return to Walsh Bay which it is destined to emerge as a thriving, harbourside arts and dining hub.
The app is continually updated with new information, stops and places of interest and will feature an events calendar once all Arts Companies are fully operational.
